Vijay and Trisha Wedding Reception Photos: What Is Confirmed

Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha were seen at a Chennai wedding reception. Here is what reports confirm, and what they do not.

Vijay and Trisha Krishnan are in the social media spotlight again after attending a wedding reception in Chennai together. According to The Siasat Daily, the event took place on Thursday, November 5, at The Leela Palace.

What happened at the reception

The celebration was the reception for the daughter of YS Anil Reddy, who the report describes as a cousin of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Thalapathy's mother, Shobha Chandrashekhar, was also reportedly present.

Photos circulating online show Vijay in a brown suit with a white shirt, and Trisha in an embellished pink saree. They pose on either side of the newlyweds against a floral backdrop. Videos also appear to show the two walking toward the stage to greet the couple, and Vijay was later seen chatting with Jagan Mohan Reddy and posing for photographs, as per the same report.

A pattern of public appearances

This is not the first time the two have been photographed at the same event this year. Reports say they were spotted in March at the wedding reception of producer Kalpathi S Suresh's son in Chennai. The same report notes that Trisha attended Vijay's swearing-in ceremony, and that both were also seen in September at the UK's Silverstone Circuit for Ajith Kumar's Michelin Le Mans Cup race.

Their public appearances have continued to draw attention, and this latest set of pictures adds to it.

Why fans pay attention

The reason for the interest is the on-screen history. Vijay and Trisha have long been one of Tamil cinema's most loved pairings. Ghilli was one of their films together, and the pair went on to work together in films such as Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi. They reunited much later in Leo, which brought that chemistry to a new generation of viewers. Trisha also appeared in the song "Matta" in The GOAT.

When a pair with that much shared screen history appears together in public, fans naturally notice.

What the reports do not say

It is worth being clear about the limits of the story. The Siasat Daily itself points out that these appearances have fuelled speculation but do not establish that the two are a couple. It also notes that Trisha has previously described Vijay as a close friend. Nothing in the report includes a statement from either of them about the reception or about the rumours.

Attending the same social events is common among people who have known each other for decades in the same industry, and the guest list at a high-profile wedding reception is often large. Until either of them says something directly, anything beyond "they attended the same celebration" is guesswork, and this site will not treat it as news.

The takeaway for fans

Based on what is confirmed, the story is simple. Two longtime co-stars were guests at a family celebration in Chennai, Vijay's mother was there too, and the photos are doing the rounds. Fans who love their films together can enjoy the nostalgia, while respecting the privacy of both stars. We will update this piece if either of them comments publicly.
